UHMWPE - Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene has high abrasion resistance, excellent sliding properties and high toughness. It has good chemical resistance, high impact strength and low moisture absorption.It is also food compliant for all critical processing applications.
UHMWPE is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic. It embodies all the characteristics of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) .
Average molecular weight of about 6.0 mil g/mol more.
It has extremely low moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of friction and is highly resistant to abrasion.Its coefficient of friction is significantly lowest and has better abrasion resistance than PTFE. (Engineering Plastics)​​​​​​​
